Our non-profit in Birmingham needed space: something bigger than a community center, yet more affordable than a convention hall. We found our solution with a flexible, spacious option that functions as a multi-sport courts and event venue Hoover groups can rely on for almost anything.
We booked a fieldhouse-style venue known for hosting banquets, trade shows, and sports—complete with tables, chairs, and AV. The rental was competitively priced and came with setup assistance. Best of all: the flexibility to add fun.
We arranged food trucks and placed cornhole boards and table tennis in corners. Adjacent indoor courts were open for free play, and families wandered over to shoot hoops while others toured the outdoor pickleball courts one row over. Of course, someone spotted the climbing wall and thought it’d add flair. We didn’t build our event around it, but it was definitely a bonus.
Guests arriving from northeast Birmingham, Hoover, or even Pelham found the site fast via I‑459 to Exit 10, heading north on Stadium Trace Parkway. Parking was plentiful, and signage guided them straight to drop-off zones and guest entrances. For anyone driving in from out of town, access couldn’t have been easier.

By mid-afternoon, laughter filled the courts and indoor space alike. We held our silent auction beside the basketball courts and then quieted things for speeches in the banquet hall. It was a smooth flow of energy, people, and purpose.
The space was large enough that no one felt cramped, and small enough to feel connected. We had room for our vendors, guest seating, a small stage setup, and still had kids darting around playing tag. That balance made it feel authentic—exactly the vibe we wanted.
One thing that stood out was how easy the team made the entire process. Booking was simple, and their staff helped us coordinate vendor setup, lighting, and cleanup. They offered input when we weren’t sure how to place things, and they responded quickly when we had to make a last-minute adjustment due to an equipment delivery.
And while we focused most of our energy indoors, it was the surrounding complex that made the day special. Some families took breaks to visit the inclusive playground. Others walked along the outdoor paths or visited nearby food stands. The facility wasn’t just a venue—it was an ecosystem that supported every part of our event.
Looking back, the event was more than successful—it was enjoyable. People stayed longer, engaged more deeply, and left feeling like they were part of something meaningful. We hit our fundraising goal, but more importantly, we built momentum and community.
If you’re planning an event that needs flexibility—sports, socializing, shade, space, and appeal—this event space for rent near Birmingham made it happen for us. The value and accessibility it provides is unmatched. For groups in Birmingham or the surrounding areas looking to host an event that’s more than just a gathering, this is it.
We’ll absolutely be back. In fact, we’re already working on a winter community event and this location is at the top of our list. For price, size, and support, it’s hard to beat.
